Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 18-27 years as on 28-07-2014. Age relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC will be applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess 10+2 standard or 12th class from recognized university for Postal/ Sorting Assistant Posts, Matriculation from a recognized university for Postman, MTS Posts, sportsmen who have represented a State or country in the National or international competitions in the sports and games, represented their university conducted by the inter university sports board in the sports & games, state schools team in the national sports/ games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in the sports/ games.

Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of educational & sports qualification marks.

Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs.100/- should be deposited/ paid in any post office in Karnataka Circle for Resident of Karnataka candidates. Non Resident Candidates of Karnataka should drawn Rs.100/- through IPO in favour of Chief Postmaster General, Karntaka Circle, Bangalore-560001.

Examination Fee: Candidates who are called for selection/ field trails will have to pay an examination fee of Rs.400/-. Women/ SC/ ST candidates are exempted from fee.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may send their applications along with attested copies of educational qualifications, sports qualification/ achievements, age proof, caste certificate, 2 passport size photographs, discharge certificate, a self addressed envelope of size 9′ X 4′ duly affixing a postage stamp of Rs.17/- for local candidates, Rs.40/- for outstation candidates must be duly attested by the Gazetted Officer, IPO on or before 28-07-2014 to Chief Postmaster General (R&E Section), Karnataka Circle, Palace Road, Bangalore-560001. The documents containing envelope should be superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF POSTAL/ SORTING ASSISTANT, POSTMAN & MTS IN KARNATAKA POSTAL CIRCLE UNDER SPORTS QUOTA”.

Qualification:
For Administrative offices: Matriculation or Equivalent or ITI from recognized Boards. (Equivalent qualification will be accepted subject to verification of the approving authority).

Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 27 years as on 05-03-2014. Age Relaxation is applicable as per rules.

For Subordinate offices: Matriculation or ITI from recognized Boards.

Application Fee: Applicants need to pay Rs. 25/- mandatory for all candidates.

Examination Fee: Applicants need to pay Rs.175/-

Payment Details: Candidates have to pay Application Fee and Examination Fee separately in any of the Post Offices through e-payment specifying the name of examination and Division/Unit for which he/she is applying and submit original receipt along with the application.

Note: All women candidates and applicants belonging to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/ physically handicapped categories are exempted from payment of examination fee only.

Selection Procedure : Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in Aptitude Test will be taken to draw merit list in each Division/Unit and selection will be purely on merit basis.

How To Apply: Eligible Candidates may send their application in prescribed format available in the notification & affix 3 identical latest passport size photographs, (one in application form and other 2 in hall permit form), must have to enclose a self addressed envelope, size 22 cm x 11 cm duly affixing a postage stamp of Rs. 40/- along with the application for dispatching the Hall permits & must be mentioned “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF MTS:——————-DIVISION” on top of the envelope by Speed post only on or before 05-03-2014.
